Сценарий урока по теме «Young people. What are they like?»

Цели: 1.Совершенствовать умения и навыки устной и письменной речи.

2. Совершенствовать способности к сравнению языковых явлений.

3. Воспитывать толерантность, доброжелательное отношения к культуре других народов.

4. Подготовить учащихся к ЕГЭ.

Т: Youth is a time when a person is trying to find his place in the world. He or she comes across different problems. Teenagers prefer to make their own mistakes rather than to listen to the warnings of the adults. Young people want to live their own life and overcome their own difficulties themselves.

It is often believed that today's teenagers are much worse than they used to be in the past. However, are they really as bad as they are thought to be?

To my mind, teenagers are criticised for no reason. To start with, nowadays more teenagers leave school with good qualifications and go to universities than ever before. There are millions of young people who achieve great things and become successful. In addition, lots of teens do household chores, look after their younger siblings or have part-time jobs. More than that, a growing number of teenagers take part in different sports competitions and win medals.

Many adults criticise teens for having bad habits like drinking or smoking. They also believe that modern teenagers are cruel and aggressive. I do not think it is fair that all teenagers are being labelled as problem. Not everyone who is a teenager drinks and gets involved in fights. Very few of them think it is clever to go out and start fighting. Of course, there are some rebellious teenage subcultures, but they are opposed to the materialism in the society. In fact, most teens think about changing the world to the best.

To sum up, the main reason for such unjust attitude to teenagers is the generation gap. It is difficult for adults to admit that teenagers have the right to have their own fashion, music and habits. Of course not all teens are ideal, but by and large they are no worse than their parents.

3.3) Практика в устной речи. Диалогической. Беседа с классом:

Teacher: Teenagers have a particular relationship with the world. They always try to express their individuality. How do teens express their individuality?

P4:

To express it they try to

  • show off;

  • show a rebellion against the parents, the regime, society;

  • reject everything;

  • join the group or the organization.

T: One of the most popular way of expressing the individuality is to join the group or the organization. Why do teenagers join the group?

P1: Teenagers join the group because they want:

  • To change the world for the best

  • To try out all sorts of options

  • To be in a collective

  • What other reasons can you suggest?

T: There are different groups and organization in the world. What are they?

T: Each group has its own values. What are they?

A. These people developed their own style distinct from others. A person has college-style hair, a neat white shirt, a short jacket, or a short blazer jacket, and narrow trousers.

B. A young person who dresses in a shocking way to express his or
her identity
(who somebody is). He or she has brightly coloured hair
and wears metal chains. The person is thought to rebel (protest) against
the society. The music is aggressive. They reject (say no to) everything.

C. A young person who wears a leather jacket, army boots and a cow-
boy hat just to show off. He is associated with something rebellious.
D. Some' classify these types of people like drug users and rock and roll fans, since their behaviours differ from social norms. They don't conform (don't keep) to society's standards and support a liberal attitude and lifestyle. They always want to change the world to the best.

E. They are the 'wizards' of the computer community; people with a
deep understanding of how their computers work, and can do things with
them that seem 'magical'. They do not protest against their parents.

F. The members of this subculture wear the blackest black, with a lot
of silver jewellery and have very black hair and look as thin and pale as
possible. The members gather together to read Bram Stoker* and talk
about being vampires, and about the end of the world.

T: Teens’ life is not very easy? nowadays. A lot of problems are associated with being young. What are they?

T: Young people want to enjoy life and be independent and be taken seriously, to express their individuality and do well at school, earn money and change the world for the best. The problem is that sometimes teens do not get what they want. As a result, teenagers try to rebel against the society and reject everything. That is why they have different problems. The reasons of these problems are rather various.

What are they?

T: By all means, a lot of the problems can be solved. What can he do?

P 1:If a teenager has any problem he can:

Dear David,

Thanks for your letter. Sorry for not having written earlier but I was too busy at school.

You asked me about a typical Russian teenager. Well, Russian teenagers are in fact very ordinary. They think their teachers make them work too hard and friendship is the most important thing in their lives.

Teens always invent new hobbies and the most popular leisure activity nowadays is playing computer games. Most teenagers are fond of sports and are crazy about modern music. Parents think that modern teens are awful but I think they are criticised for no reason.

Anyway, it's great that you like skateboarding. It's an exciting sport. How long have you been doing it? Do you know any tricks? Have you got any other hobbies?

I've got to go now. Take care and keep in touch!

Личное письмо Personal Letter
Язык и стиль написания личного письма менее офиц ален по сравнению с деловым письмом, более эмоционален прост. Для личного письма характерны сокращения, принят в устной речи: / haven't heard from you for ages, I'm lookin forward to seeing you again, What's the news? и т. п. Употребление фразовых глаголов, идиоматических выражений и даже сленга вполне уместно и допустимо в письме личного характера. В личном письме не пишется заголовок или указание на общее содержание письма, что является характерным для деловой корреспонденции.

Письмо следует начинать с написания своего адреса (адрес отправителя), который пишется в верхнем правом углу страницы в следующем порядке: 1-ая строка — номер дома, название улицы; 2-ая строка — город, почтовый индекс; 3-я строка — страна. Под адресом пишется дата написания письма: число, месяц, год. Будьте осторожны с датами! Американцы перевели бы 1.09 как 9 января, т. к. в American English and British English даты читаются по-разному, поэтому дату лучше писать полностью, например, 1 September, 2009. Не надо писать окончания -th, -st, -nd или -rd после цифр.
Обращение

Личное письмо обычно начинается с неформального приветствия Hi, Hello или просто со слова Dear, к которому добавляется имя, после чего ставится запятая.

Hi, Dick, Hello, Mary, Dear Dad,

Всё обращение пишется на левой стороне без отступа на красную строку.

Далее обычно следует благодарность за полученное письмо. Вы также можете задать несколько вопросов о делах и семье своего друга.

Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you. How are you? I hope all is going well. How is your sister? Has she already learned Spanish?
Основной текст письма

В основном тексте письма вы рассказываете новости, факты и события своей жизни, выражаете свои суждения и чувства, описываете планы на будущее и расспрашиваете своего друга о его делах. В письмах могут содержаться поздравление, благодарность, просьба, соболезнование, жалоба или упрек.

He забывайте о словах, связывающих отдельные част предложений, и вводных словах.

Заключительная формула вежливости

Заключительная формула вежливости на отдельной стр< ке может включать в себя такие слова, как Love, Best regard Best wishes, Looking forward to seeing you, Warmly, Fondl Missing you, после которых ставится запятая.

На отдельной строке после заключительной формул вежливости вы должны подписаться — написать свое имя.

Нужно обязательно помнить требования к объему пис: ма — 100-140 слов. Не пишите лишних подробностей. Помните, что обязательные повторяемые элементы письма — адре обращение, благодарность за полученное письмо, заключительные фразы и ваше имя в конце письма уже составляют около 20 слов. Заучите эти фразы и зрительно запомните план расположения частей письма. Запомните свой адрес в правильно последовательности.

Проверьте, нет ли орфографических или грамматически ошибок. Если вы не уверены в правильности написания каких-либо слов, замените их другими, в написании которых в уверены.
