Оборудование: Проектор; компьютер; раздаточный материал (карточки с предложениями), классная доска. Ход урока. 1.Организационный момент. T: Good morning, pupils. I’m glad to see all of you here today.
T: The name of our lesson is “Places of interest in London”. 2. Мозговой штурм. T: What is your association with the name 'London'?” city capital England London large We will add some more associations during our lesson. (Схема ассоциаций остаётся на доске и дополняется во время урока). 3. Объяснение нового материала. А) Фонетическая отработка слов. T: Look at the screen. Here are some pictures of sights of London. Repeat after me ‘Big Ben’. Finish the sentence: Tower Bridge; Westminster Abbey; Buckingham Palace; the Houses of Parliament; Trafalgar Square; Big Ben. (Учащиеся смотрят на картинки достопримечательностей на экране, повторяют название хором за учителем). Б) Работа с дефинициями. T: Look at the screen. Here is the test. You are going to be experts. Choose the right answer to finish the sentences. (Учащиеся выполняют тестовое задание). 1.Westminster Abbey is a) the church, b) the river, c) the house 2. Buckingham Palace is the place for a) the Queen, b) the Parliament, c) the businessmen 3. The Houses of Parliament is the place where a) teenagers dance, b)country’s leaders speak, c) Prince Charles lives 4. Trafalgar Square is a) the museum, b)the art gallery, c) the street 5. Tower Bridge is across a) the Rain, b) the Mississippi, c) the Thames T: Now let’s add some more associations to the scheme. What are they? (Учащиеся называют достопримечательности. К схеме на доске добавляются карточки.) 4. Закрепление лексического материала. А) T: Imagine you have a chance to visit London. What places you would like to visit? Look at the screen. Use these phrases to complete the sentences. Repeat after me I would like to visit,iIt is a pleasure to see, I want to go to. For example I would like to see Big Ben. What about you? (Учащиеся устно составляют предложения по схеме на экране). The Houses of Parliament Queen Elizabeth 2 I would like to visit Big Ben It is a pleasure to see Buckingham Palace I want to go to Tower Bridge Westminster Abbey Trafalgar Square Б) T:Look at the screen. Match the phrases and complete the sentences. One place of interest may have 2 or 3 variants. For example Big Ben is a popular place for tourists. Big Ben is famous for its clock. Give as many variants as possible.

Hands on your knees, hands on your shoulders. Look at the ceiling, look at the floor, Look at the window, look at the door. 6. Развитие умений аудирования. Самоконтроль. T: You’ve got the cards on your tables. I will read the sentences. You should decide if the sentence is true or false and put a cross in the card. (Учащиеся получают карточки с номерами предложений. Учитель читает предложения, учащиеся слушают и ставят крестик напротив них, решая верно ли то или иное предложение). 1.London is the capital of America. 2. Big Ben is a popular street. 3. Buckingham Palace is the place for the Queen. 4. The Thames is the main river in London. 5. Westminster Abbey is a historic building. 6. Queen Elizabeth 2 lives in Westminster Abbey. 7. Trafalgar Square is a popular place for tourists. T: Look at the blackboard. This is the key to this test.
Give 1 point to each correct answer and count your results. Now give a mark. “5” – 7 points; “3” – 3 points; “4” – 5-6 points; “2” – 1-2 points (Учащиеся сверяют свои ответы с ключом на экране и ставят отметки). 7. Развитие умений монологической речи. T: There is the scheme on the blackboard. Repeat after me. (Учащиеся хором повторяют слова со схемы на доске). T: You’ve got the cards on your tables. Let’s play the game. Imagine that you live in London and you want to tell your Russian friend about this city. There is the plan in you cards. Use it. Write the story and be ready to tell it in 5 minutes. (Учащиеся готовят небольшие выступления по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона » по плану). 8. Подведение итогов. Объяснение домашнего задания. T: Thank you very much for your hard work at the lesson. What did you learn at the lesson? Your home task will be to choose one interesting place in London, that you liked and to tell us about it according to the plan on your cards.
