У: Good morning, boys and girls, good morning everybody! I’m glad to see you here and I hope you are well today. Now we are going to speak about RUSSIA, the most wonderful place in the world. because it is our Motherland, a country where we were born and live. At our previous lessons we’ve already made our word-web. And now I want you to look at the blackboard and remember all your associations connected with the phrase “Russia, our Motherland”. So, what are they? Let’s fill in our collage (word-web). state system/symbols Geographical position Moscow Russia, our Motherland. History Small Motherland People Character Territory District Village Holidays/Traditions You have chosen topics for your reports. And I hope you are ready with them. So, let’s start.
When we speak about any country, we start with its geography. Masha will tell us about it. You are welcome. But before she starts, I want to say that while listening to the reports perhaps you’ll have some questions or additional information, after the reports you may give it. 2) And now we’ll speak about Russia as a state, it’s governing and symbols. Lyuba is going to tell us about them. 3) History. Russian history is rich in different events and outstanding people who played a great role in the country development. It’ll take a lot of time even to name all of them. So, Sveta has decided to tell us about the person whom she thinks to be the most prominent one. 4) We’ll go on, and the next point of discussion is Moscow, the heart of our country, its capital, political, financial, cultural and educational centre. 5) People. At our lessons we’ve already said that both history and geography influence the human character. What are the Russians like? Christina will try to answer this question. 6) An English proverb says: ” Every country has its customs.” About Russian customs and holidays Ann will tell us. 7 )When we say “Motherland” we don’t mean only our country ,but also our “small Motherland”-our region, district and, of course, our native village, the place where we live. And here I want to remind you one more English proverb “East or West- home is best”. (3 reports) Summing up the information: -You’ve listened to one another attentively. Perhaps you have some questions or can add something. You may do it just now. -To sum up the information about Russia. I want you to answer my questions: Where is Russia situated? How many seas and oceans is Russia washed by? What are the main rivers and lakes in Russia? What are the Russians by their character? When was the Russian Federation set up? Who is the head of the R.F.? What are the branches of the Russian government? What are the state symbols of our country? Etc. IV. Заключительная часть урока. Подведение итогов. I’ve prepared these stars and you can give them to the pupil whose report was the best to your mind. And my star will be given to the whole class, because all of you tried to do your best preparing to this lesson. And to finish the lesson I want to say that some people think it doesn’t matter much what country to live in. I’m sure that there no place like home. Russia is our Motherland, we know it since our childhood, we read Russian books, we know the Russian culture, we love Russian nature, and we are proud of our country, of its riches, people and history. I don’t want to live anywhere else but in Russia. And I hope neither do you. |
