Aims of Teaching: 1) to present pupils new lexical material on the theme “Good and Bad Habits” and practice in using it in the speech;
2) to revise the word-building of the adverbs and their place in the sentence;
3) to give the understanding of harmful influence of the bad habits and inactive way of living on the health of a person.
Type of the Lesson: combined.

Today we start learning a new topic which is called “Health Living Guide”. The theme of our lesson is “Bad and Good Habits”. Do you know what the word “habit” mean?
So, look at the screen! Dima, read, please.
You should tell me in the end of the lesson what habits are good what ones are bad and why.
Not bad. Good habits help us to keep our health in a good state, and bad habits cause different health problems: headaches and many others.

Everybody will learn the new words, do the puzzle, read and translate ex. I (1), p.120. Dima and Alina instead of ex.I (1) will do ex.1, p.45 at the activity book and prepair a report about the harmful influence of one of the bad habits (it may be an anti-advertisement with pictures).
