– Good morning, dear friends! – Good morning, teacher! – I am glad to see you. – We are glad to see you, too. – How are you today? – We are fine, thank you. Выявление дежурных, запись числа на доске и отсутствующих.
- Today you will learn to talk to each other about weather using the structure "It's...", to speak about the typical weather in our country and find out what weather is typical of Britain. Besides, we are going to listen to your reports about the weather in Europe.
- You know different types of weather. Also you can do many different things on different days. At home you made up a little essay. And know you will go to the blackboard and tell us about your different hobbies. 4. Обучение грамматической стороне речи. Оно не имеет лексического значения, а выполняет функцию формального подлежащего и на русский язык не переводится. Местоимение "it" употребляется в качестве формального подлежащего в безличных предложениях при сообщении о явлениях природы и состояниях погоды, при обозначении времени и расстояния:

(You can never be sure of a dry day. It doesn't usually get very cold in autumn. It often gets hot in summer. It's never as cold in autumn as it is in winter.) Work in pairs. Discuss what you would say about the weather in Russia to your British partner. Share your opinion with your classmates. Use: 1. Climate: damp, wet, dry, mild, continental, moderate, tropical, subtropical. 2. Weather: fine, cold, warm, cool, hot, foggy, damp (сырая), sultry (душная), stuffy (знойная), chilly (промозглая), bad, nasty (ненастная), changeable, splendid, wonderful, wretched (скверная), rainy, windy, sunny, fair, clear, dull (пасмурная). 3. It looks like rain. - Похоже, пойдет дождь. It is raining cats and dogs! - Льет как из ведра. to get wet to the skin to get wet through промокнуть насквозь (до ниточки) I can't stand heat. - Я не могу выносить жару. Spring sets in March. - Весна наступает в марте. It thunders. - Гремит гром. It lightens. - Сверкает молния. 8. Подведение итогов урока - What have we done today? What have we discussed at the lesson? The most active pupils today are... Your marks for the lesson are... At home prepare advice to your friend about what you can do in different seasons.
