-Познакомить учащихся с современными реалиями страны изучаемого языка
-Познакомить учащихся с новой лексикой и тренировать её употребление .
-Оборудование: Карточки с выражениями, презентация
Ход урока:
T: Good morning , children. Today we continue talking about TV channels, TV programmes and the most interesting thing will be advertising. Watching TV is the most popular pastime in Great Britain. The British watch TV more than 26 hours a week. What channels of British TV do you know?
P1: BBC 1, BBC 2,ITV, MTV
T: YOU can see some abbreviations on the blackboard. What do these abbreviations stand for? What can you say about them?
BBC, Baby TV, MTV, Channel 4 , CNN, Discovery, ITV, Moovee
P1: BBC-British Broadcasting Corporation-international news channel
T: You are right. There are BBC-4, BBC London News, BBC world News, BBC-1 is one of the most popular channel which offers documentaries, plays, operas and concerts They don’t advertise anything
P2: ITV-is an independent commercial organization which gets much money from advertising
P3- MTV is a music TV channel
P4:-Baby TV is a baby channel; Moovee-is a public channel
P5: Discovery is a public channel
T: I’d like to propose you a TV PROGRAMME. YOU should look through this programme and answer the question. What serial could you watch if you come from school at 16.30 You have 5 minutes

T: Advertising on TV, in press is too popular nowdays. A lot of commercial firms buy the time to advertise their goods. Let’s work in group. Write down some reasons of advertising. You have 2 minutes.
After discussing children call them.

T:While reading or listening to advertisements you should pay attention to different advertising techniques used to convince you to buy a product .You should recognize if an ad gives you evidence and statistics, if it gives you only positive reasons and if it is possible to check them
T: So, children I would like you to convince your classmates to buy or not to buy something.. I’ll give you my cards. You should use these expressions .You ‘ll have 5 minutes for preparation. After that we shall listen to some of you .Look at these pictures.(fruit and vegetables)
