Урок – путешествие “ Merry Train” (« Веселый поезд») для учащихся 5-х классов по УМК М.З. Биболетовой 5-6 кл. Цели урока: (Слайд № 1) 1.совершенствовать навыки диалогической речи, говорения, аудирования, чтения и письма по теме " Learning more about each other" Unit 3 (Узнаем больше друг о друге); 2.обобщить грамматический материал по теме " Present Continuous" Оборудование: презентация урока на слайдах с применением интерактивной доски “Smart Board”, раздаточный материал по теме “Present Continuous" Ход урока 1. Организационный момент. Hello guys! Glad to see you! Let’s start our lesson with the rhyme “Hello!” It’s time to say hello! It’s time to say hello! It’s time to say hello! And start our lesson! Today we'll have an unusual lesson. We are going to travel by train. Our train is especial. We'll stop at the stations where you’ll show your knowledge of English. Do you remember the proverbs about travelling? Let’s match the proverbs. ( Слайд 2)
Look! Our stations will be (Слайд 3) 1. Phonetical 2. Lexical 3. Sport 4. Grammar 5. Musical 2. Основной этап. 1.Let’s begin our trip with the 1st station “Phonetical” (Слайд 4) I think the weather will be fine during our trip, won’t it? OK! Look at the blackboard and listen to the tongue- twisters. You are divided into two teams. The 1st team is called “Cats” and the 2nd- “Dogs”. Every team will get estimation cards for the answers. The team which gets the most will be the winner. Try to pronounce tongue-twisters as quicker as you can.
2. We are going to the 2nd station “Lexical” Brain storm: Questions: Teacher: 1. What traits of character do you know? 2. What kind of people do you like and don’t like ? Pupil: I like ……. people. Teacher: 3. Describe the kind of person you would like to make friends with? Pupil: My friend is ….. Task 1: Make up the words, describing traits of character. (Слайд 5) Task 2: Complete the sentences with the words. (Слайд 6) Task 3: Cross out the odd word. (Слайд 7) I see you are tired. Let’s stop our train at the station “Sport” and do some sport exercises. Физкультминутка. Up, down, up, down, ( Поднимаем руки вверх и вниз.) Which is the way ( Разводим руки в стороны.) to London town? Where? Where? ( Поварачиваемся в стороны.) Up in the air, ( Смотрим по сторонам.) Close your eyes- (Закрываем глаза.) And you are here! (Открываем глаза.) Your home task was to prepare the dialogues. Go to the blackboard and act out. Team 1. “Interview”

We continue our travelling and the next station will be “Grammar” (Слайд 8) Let’s revise the grammar material “Present Continuous” and tell how to form this tense. 1. When do we use Present Continuous? (Слайд 9) 2. What’s the difference between Present Simple and Present Continuous? Task 1: Complete the poem with the words in brackets. (Слайд 10) Task 2: Open the brackets, using Present Continuous. ( Слайд 11) 1. Where is Mum? - She (to cook). 2. Listen! The girl (to sing) the song. 3. They (to watch) a detective film now. 4. What you (to read) at the moment? 5. I (not to write) a letter now. 6. Bob (to sleep) now? And now it’s time to play a game. (Слайд 12) You will see the actions on the blackboard, which you should act out. Other pupils must tell what he or she is doing, using Present Progressive. OK! You were super! But our trip is getting over. The last station is “Musical” Let’s finish our lesson with the song “Scooter” 3. Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов урока. Объявление победителей.
