Тема урока: Family and Family Values. Цель: совершенствование навыков говорения, аудирования, чтения и развитие у учащихся их собственной стратегии работы с незнакомыми словами по теме «Семья». Задачи:
Тип урока: ознакомление с новым лексическим материалом и систематизация знаний и умений учащихся. Формы работы: основная – групповая, а также фронтальная и индивидуальная. Оснащение урока:
Ход урока: (В начале урока необходимо разделить учащихся на 3 группы – “семьи”: Smiths, Browns, Taylors). Good morning! How are you? Let’s play a little. Take one card – it’s your role for our lesson. I invite fathers to sit down. Father Taylor, Smith and Brown. Then mothers sit down on their knees. Then elder daughters, younger daughters and babies. Thank you, now you may take your sits at your tables. I will not name the topic of our lesson; I want you to guess it. Do the crossword and find the main word (кроссворд помещается на слайде)

Nothing else but family can be an emotional center of people; can be a transmitter of culture and raising children. It’s the warm of home and kindness of the relatives. A person who has no family is always lonely and moreover nobody takes care of him. That’s why our topic today is “Family and Family Values”. We try to understand what the word “Family” means. What are your opinions about this poem? (учащиеся дают свои ответы). And now I want to know what the word “family” means for you. Think about it in your groups and fill the diagram together. ( После обсуждения в группах учащиеся высказывают свои мнения, а один ученик заполняет общую диаграмму на доске). You are right that family consists of people who loves you and whom you love either. It can be not only your parents but also people who are dear to you, who take care of you. So, what relatives have people got? You must explain the names of your relatives. (Учитель называет слова, обозначающие родственников, а учащиеся быстро дают объяснение на английском языке). Example: Аunt is my mother’s sister. Thank you for your quick answers. And now I want you to listen to the description of any relatives boys and girls have. Find corresponding sentence for each speaker and answer who they are in the family. To conclusion I would like to say that family for me means warm house full of people who are dear to me. That’s why I wish your families to live in such homes.
