3 класс; учащиеся изучают английский язык со 2 класса.

Тема урока: “My favourite season of the year”

УМК: Биболетова М.З. и др. “Enjoy English 3” (lesson 36).

Цели урока:

Усвоение умений в комплексе применять ЗУН и осуществлять их перенос в новые условия.
Совершенствовать навыки совместного целеполагания учебной деятельности.
Воспитывать внимательное отношение к природе.
Развивать внимание, интерес к предмету посредством интернет ресурсов.

Задачи урока:

Повторить ключевые лексические единицы, научиться рассказывать о любимом времени года.
Развивать умения изучающего аудирования.
Повторить структуру общих вопросов в Present Simple.

T: Hello boys and girls. I am glad to see you. Sit down please.

T: How are you today? Are you OK?

T: Great! Thank you Tiny!

T: Now, please, answer the question – what was Tiny speaking about?

T: What is his favourite season?

T: How do you think what we are going to talk about today? What is our goal?

T: Great, our goal today is to give a talk about your favourite season. And what shall we do? Shall we revise the key words? What are the key words? Shall we revise the Present Simple tense?

Pre-speaking tasks

T: Task 1, let’s check how well you know seasons of the year. Take your papers and write down your names.

[“Colour the tree” hand out. The same picture is on the board.]

T: You should write the name of the season and colour the tree . Do it all alone. You have 2 minutes.

T: Your time is up. Exchange your papers. Give a mark to your partner.

Pupils see the right answers on the blackboard and give to their partners according to the criteria.

T: Thank you; give your papers to me. What objective did we revise?

T: Look at this tree [ the picture is on the board], it is green, so it is summer. Look at that tree. What season is it?

T: Why?

P: The tree is yellow.

T: The tree is yellow, the leaves are yellow. All together.

T: Are there any leaves in winter?

T: Are the leaves small or big in spring?

T: Are the leaves small or big in summer?

T: Great! Now take paper number 2 – “The leaves on the tree”. Do Ex. 2. Listen to the song and put the sentences in the correct order.

T: Let’s work in groups. Divide into 2 groups. Tell the rules of the group work. Ok, please, choose the speaker. Group 1 – who is your speaker? Group 2 – who is your speaker?

T: Listen to the task – you should ask each other the question - “what games can we play in different seasons?” and write down the answers in your table, and then the speaker of the group will tell us about your group’s favourite activities.. You have 2 minutes.

T: You time is up. Let’s listen to your speakers.

T: So, we can do a lot of interesting things at any season of the year. Look at the blackboard and say what objective did we revise?

P: we revise the games; we practice the questions.

T: Yes, we practiced asking questions in Present Simple. We revised all the objectives!

T: You know, I’ve got a letter from Tiny, he writes about his favourite season – let’s read it, look at the blackboard!

“Hello, my friends. My favourite season is autumn! The leaves are of different colours: yellow, red, dark green, orange. I like to go to the forest in autumn, to ride a bike and to walk. And you? What is your favourite season?”

T: Let’s answer Tiny. Be ready to speak about your favourite season. You have 1 minute!

T: Your time is up! Who wants to be the speaker?

T: It’s time to write down the homework. It’s a project. If you favourite season is spring – you’ll make a flower crown; if it’s winter – you’ll make a snow flake and a snowman; if it’s autumn – you’ll make different leaves; if it’s summer – you’ll make different flowers. Choose your season and take the script, read it and follow it to make a project. Good luck!
